Central Florida Large Animal Veterinary Services will be offering “Vet Day” again this year in conjunction with the KVLS large animal workshop. All animals requiring a health certificate for the Osceola County Fair can participate. (You are not required to use our practice for your health certificate; we just provide the service as an added convenience). Please note if you choose not to take advantage of this service for your health certificate and would like our practice to write you a health certificate you will be required to make an appointment and bring your animal to our office. Cost will be full price of $50 per certificate (each species requires a separate certificate). Our veterinarians will not have the availability to make farm calls to your location, so we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure you have the proper paperwork for show.
Date: December 13, 2025
Time: 9 am – 12 noon - Specific time schedule per species will be posted as we get closer to the date. We will provide service by species typically in the order of cattle, sheep, goats and ending with hogs.
Location: KVLS Scales and paddock area behind the arena.
Cost: $1 per animal for cattle, sheep, goats, and open male hogs. Open female hogs will be $20 due to required blood work. (Cash only at time of examination)
Note: Market Hogs do not require a health certificate, Open Hogs MUST be on a health certificate. If you are showing a female, they MUST have blood work done.
All animals must be tagged with the appropriate EID and/or scrapies tag prior to the vet examining the animal.
NEW THIS YEAR – the attached form MUST be completed in its entirety BEFORE the veterinarian will examine your animal(s). You will present payment and VET DAY worksheet to the veterinarian for their review and examination of the animal.
The health certificate will ONLY be for the Osceola County Fair. If you will be showing at additional fairs, they can be listed on the form and there will be an extra cost to be paid once that additional health certificate is completed.
All animals must be tagged with the appropriate EID and/or scrapies tag prior to the vet examining the animal.
