This is the signup for the Auction Birds. If you have shown this year, you will still need to register to hold your spot. All others who register will go into the drawing that will be held at the Fair Office at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024. There are 35 spots with 5 alternates*. Price is $45.00 for 10 chicks.
Payment will need to be paid within 2 weeks after the drawing or you forfeit your spot. An email will be sent letting you know who was drawn.
ELIGIBILTY:
- Only active Osceola County 4-H or FFA members are invited to participate; and must be residents of Osceola County and currently enrolled in school.
- Anyone having graduated from high school, or currently dropped out of school, shall be ineligible to enter, show, or sell their market animals. All entrants must be active in the 4-H or FFA Programs and meet all their requirements.
- The child must be an Osceola County resident OR live/reside on land in a bordering county, which the property continues, into Osceola County, may participate in the Commercial Laying Hens program provided they abide by all other rules and regulations.
- Must have completed at least one full year in 4-H and turned in record book for 2024.
Minimum Exhibitor Age is 8 years old
(Ages are prior to September 1st of current 4-H/FFA Year)
The breed will be given out at pickup. Pickup is August 17, 2024 from 4-4:30 pm. In order to sell at the Auction, you will be required to:
- Complete a Record Book with a passing grade of 70.
- Complete the Skill-a-thon with a passing grade of 70, (you may take until you pass).
- Participate in the Showmanship.
*Alternates are to complete all requirements of the program. Alternates will be given placing according to their place in the drawing and will move up as spaces need to be filled.
